Ezi-Rest Furniture designed and made in New Zealand
Dion bought Ezi-Rest in 1999.
At the time Ezi-Rest made bookshelves and TV cabinets, with only a handful of customers. Since then, with his determination and hard work, Ezi-Rest now makes quality bedroom furniture which is supplied to a variety of stores throughout New Zealand.
Dion is responsible for matching each piece of timber for all the furniture that leaves here, and makes sure his team follows his high standard of workmanship to the finished product. He is also responsible for the majority of the designs that makes our products stand out from the rest.
Fiona has been with Ezi-Rest for 10 years, after meeting Dion up in Auckland, while selling his product. Fiona's earlier experience with office management, and then selling in a retail environment (mainly bedroom furniture) has helped to ensure the continued growth of the Ezi-Rest name while bringing an understanding of retail and manufacturing together. This also brings to the business a feminine touch, which is an advantage when new designs are being produced.
Fiona is responsible for the Office work, Sales and ensuring the ongoing relationships with retailers.
Aaron has been with Ezi-Rest since 2008 and is our finisher/sprayer. Aaron has a flair for bringing out the best in each piece of furniture when he is working on it.
His love of his job is attributed to his passion for art, and he has always been involved in a job that relates to this. His past experiences have ranged from spraying cast iron baths to learning his trade in a furniture factory, before joining Ezi-Rest.
Aaron is a very dedicated team member who often works late and weekends to ensure the product goes out the door on time and up to standard.
Sanjeet has been with Ezi-Rest for 5 years, where right from day 1, he demonstrated his ability in all aspects of cabinet making. He quickly shone thru as a leader and has been our factory foreman for a number of years.
Hailing originally from the Fiji Islands, Sanjeet has had 22 years of experience within the industry. He is a well respected and treasured team member, who helps to ensure that the high quality of each piece that leaves here is maintained.
Jason has just left school, where he received a "Top of the Class level 2" furniture award to start his apprenticeship with us here at Ezi-Rest.
He has always had a passion for working with wood and wanted to find a job that reflected his love of working with solid wood. Jason has shown that he is committed to working as a team member and absorbing all he is shown, so should go far in this industry.
